gameME.com is a service that provides real-time statistics for game servers across various games like Counter-Strike (CSS, CSGO/CS2), Team Fortress (TFC, TF2), Battlefield, Day of Defeat, Left 4 Dead, and many Half-Life mods. It offers features like player stats tracking, server rankings, and competitive tools to enhance the gaming experience by making it more competitive.

    Why is gameME shutting down?
gameME Stats, the service provided by gameME.com, is ceasing operations due to operational decisions. The exact reasons for the shutdown haven't been detailed in the information available, but typically, such decisions could be influenced by financial viability, changes in business focus, or technological shifts.

How many servers were active on gameME before they determined to cease operations?
The number of active servers before the shutdown decision isn't explicitly stated in the information available. However, gameME has been a platform where numerous servers for popular games were hosted, indicating a significant presence in the gaming community.

How many players were tracked by gameME?
While exact figures on the total number of players tracked by gameME over its entire operation aren't given, it's noted that over 1,688,520 players were VAC-banned, suggesting a large player base was tracked for cheating statistics alone. This implies that the total number of players who used gameME services for stats tracking would be significantly higher.

The shutdown of gameME Stats was scheduled for October 30, 2024, with the control panel remaining available until November 30, 2024, for data downloads.

It's amazing to see the effects of this shutdown reverberating throughout the gaming community. Many popular communities were reliant on gameME because it made HLStatsX:CE installs extremely convenient. Now not many people have found an alternative. It takes a special installation of MySQL and PHP to run HLStatsX:CE on Linux, and that will throw many people off (including me).

    There is always
PsychoStats which is a little bit more up to date than HLStatsX:CE without custom coding. PsychoStats works with PHP 7.1.0+ while HLStatsX:CE is still on PHP 5.6 if you want to try getting traditional MySQL to work, as far as my testing is concerned. I tried getting HLStatsX:CE installed just the other day and it was giving me all sorts of problems no matter which avenue I travelled, and I have always been successful installing it, no matter if it was Windows or Linux. You may have great luck on Windows, but that is just to costly nowadays.
